Cameroonian international defender, Andre Bikey has joined Indian Super League side, NorthEast United.

NorthEast United signed the 30-year-old who was a free agent after ending a one-year contract with England’s Championship side, Charlton Athletic. The club believed that with the experience of the Cameroon defender, their weak defence will be fortified. Bikey can operate as a centre defender, defensive midfielder and also as a right back.

Before moving to India, he had played in Greece, Portugal, Russia and England (Reading, Bristol City, Middlesborough and Charlton).

From 2006 to 2010, Bikey made 25 caps for Cameroon, scoring 1 goal (against Mauritius on June 8, 2008 during the 2010 World Cup qualification).
