Anderlecht have made the Cameroon international one of their transfer targets during the summer transfer market.
The 20-year-old could be leaving Sporting Gijon (Spain D2) in the days ahead with teams like Anderlecht in Belgium and two Ligue One sides, Toulouse and Rennes after the midfielder’s signature. Ndi has spent four years with the Spainish D2 side since joining them at the age of 16.
Ndi who left Cameroon in 2009 had a trial period at Manchester United F.C., but nothing came of it. He subsequently joined local Daga Young Stars FC, but after a trip to Spain with Cameroon under-17s, signed for AD Colmenar Viejo. He subsequently left the club and moved to Sporting de Gijón, initially playing for lowly SD Llano 2000 due to being a non-EU player before gaining promotion to the senior side.
After appearing with the under-15s and under-17s, Ndi was called up to the full side on March 122015. He made his international debut in a friendly against Indonesia win 1–0.
