The former Coton Sport defender came to the limelight when he made his international debut for Cameroon on August 10, 2013, starting in a 0–1 loss against Gabon. He was called up to the provisional squad for the 2014 FIFA World Cup, being also included in the final cut.

After his performance during the build up to the 2014 World Cup, like Vincent Aboubakar he was expected to sign out of Cameroon but no concrete offer was landed on the table for the Garoua club.
