The Cameroonian left back after two years without a club seems to be reviving his career after signing for Leiknir FC in the Iceland first division League.
The left back provided an assist in their game against defending champs Stjarnan FC to enable his side shared spoils on day 3 of play last Sunday after a 1-1 draw.
It should be recalled that it was once romoured that the former Mount Cameroon FC of Buea man was set to sign for Cameroon League 1 side, New Stars of Douala.
Fomen began his professional career in 2007 with Mount Cameroon FC, moving in the following year to Panthère de Bangangté.
On April, 17, 2009, he signed with French club Olympique de Marseille, who had already scouted the player. During his first season, he did not appear in the league, as the club won the title. He was later loaned to second level’s Dijon FCO, in a season-long move. After failing to impress in Dijon FCO, on August 3,2011, Fomen moved to Ligue 2 side Clermont Foot on free transfer.
Fomen made 17 appearances with the Cameroon U-20 team scoring 3 goals.
