According to the draws for the U-23 African championship in football made public by the Confederation of African Football, CAF, Cameroon will face the winner of the first round encounter between Guinea Bissau and Sierra Leone after they were exempted from the first round.

In case of victory, Cameroon will take on Algeria in the third round.

The first round matches will take place in May this year, the second round in July and August.

Also, the top three teams of the U-23 African Championship, Senegal 2015, shall represent Africa at the Olympic Games in Rio 2016.

The Cameroon U-23 team won the 2000 Olympics Games and has been champions at the All African Games four times.
