Indomitable Lions Henri Bedimo was designated the best left back in the Afcon 2015 dream team despite the Lions early exit from the tourney.

The African Football Confederation (CAF) made public the team of this competition and Henri Bedimo secured his place in the CAF 12-man dream team.

The team designated by the CAF is dominated by Côte d’Ivoire (winner of the competition) which has 5 players in this ranking. Ghana, runner-up has two representatives. While the Algeria, screened from the quarter-finals by the Elephants of Ivory Coast; the Tunisia (output in the quarter by Equatorial Guinea), South Africa and Cameroon complete the picture with a representative.

However, it was shocking that Ghana’s Christian Atsu, who was elected best player of the tournament, was curiously not part of this team.

AFCON 2015 dream team:

Goalkeeper:
Sylvain Gbohouo (Côte d’Ivoire) – Robert Kidiaba (RD Congo)

Defenders: Serge Aurier (Côte d’Ivoire), Harrison Afful (Ghana), Abib Kolo Toure (Côte d’Ivoire)

Midfielders: Andre Ayew (Ghana), Yaya Toure (Côte d’Ivoire), Max Alain Gradel (Côte d’Ivoire), Yannick Bolasie (DR Congo), Gervinho (Côte d’Ivoire)
