The Indomitable Lions in their first group D game of the African Nations Cup played today at teh Neuvo Stadium in Malabo, snatched victory from the Eagles of Mali with a late equalize for a 1-1 draw.

Collecting a pass from Cedric Loe, Oyongo Bitolo who plays for the Red Bulls in the USA controlled on his knee and the slipped a close range shot pass goalkeeper Soumila Diakite to shake the net to the delight of many Cameroonian spectators who had lost hope of the Lions equalizing at the 84th minute.

The Eagles scored at the 70th minute through Sambou Yatabare as he his shot passed through the legs of the defenseless goalie,Onduoa Enbogo after imposing their rhythm on the Lions in the first half of the encounter.

However, the goal did not deter the Lions determination and fighting spirit to carry on as Lions goalie, Fabrice Onduoa made strategic saves during the game.

The Lions only retaliated later with two shots deviated by goalkeeper, Soumila Diakite..
