The validation of John Begheni Ndeh’s candidacy for the upcoming FECAFOOT elections will see him face his Secretary General Christopher Kaba after the candidacy of Robert Bahazah Atah was rejected by the Normalization Committee.
After going through the various files of candidates going in for FECAFOOT elections at the regional level, the file of one of the aspirants of the Northwest FECAFOOT, Robert Bahazah Atah was declared invalid thereby creating room for John B. Ndeh and Christopher Kaba Atanga to compete for the post.
Robert Atha’s file was said to be rejected because out of the six Divisions of FECAFOOT in Northwest, his team did not have a representative from Bui Division.
The two have been at extreme ends recently, during the national FECAFOOT Elections in June 2013, rumours were riffed as to whether Christopher Kaba, Secretary General of the North West FECAFOOT betrayed JB Ndeh by casting his vote for Iya. It was also alleged that Kaba’s name appeared in Iya’s list.
Meanwhile, after going through the list of 18 candidates from the ten regions of Cameroon, the Electoral Commission chaired Joseph Owona, rejected the files of six candidates due to irregularities noted in the constitution lists.
The six candidates whose files were rejected include: Robert Bahazah Atah (North West Region), Joseph Feutcheu (West Region), Emmanuel Loga(Littoral Region) , Siroma Abubakar (Adamawa Region), Charles Baninga (Eastern Region) and Luc Assamba (Central Region).
