The Indomitable Lionesses after beating Algeria 2-0 have qualified for the second round of the African Women Championship along side Nigeria.
In their first game, the lionesses grabbed three points beating South Africa1-0.
The game played at the Windhoek Independence Stadium saw Enow Nagchu’s squad open scores at the 17 minute through Gaelle Enganamouit who plays for Swedish side and has six goals in the championship.
To pay homage to a dear friend and Cameroonian footballer Essomba, killed in a accident in Tunisia, she dedicated the goal to him.
She had nursed her plan carefully from the first game moving with the name slipped in her socks, and the opportunity came. She removed the name, ran towards the TV camera and displayed for the world to see.
Rewarded with a penalty kick following the rough game the Algerians played, Enganamouit scored to increase tally for Cameroon and came out of the game with a brace and a splendid performance that made her the TN Mobile Woman-of-the-Match.
Cameroon would meet Ghana in their third and last group game on October 18.
