President Biya has provided a financial assistance to the tune of FCFA 350 million to the Professional Football League of Cameroon, PFLC for the clubs.
The President of New Stars of Douala, Faustin Domnkeu unveiled the news during the professional league presidents meeting that held on Friday in Yaoundé.
While clubs get 70 percent of the money, 30 percent goes for the functioning of the league. It was revealed that the half of this special presidential support of FCFA 175 million is already in the clubs’ coffers.
However, the second quota of the total government subvention of 560million is still awaited from the Ministry of Sports and Physical Education.
Clubs had already received FCFA 300million and FCFA 260million is still awaited.
