The Indomitable Lions started preparations for the 2014 World Cup today in Austria with 27 players present except for Benoit Assou Ekotto who still has a match this week-end with his club.
The players arrived yesterday and were treated to a general briefing with the Minister of Sports and Physical Education and Fecafoot transition President, Joseph Owona.
Discussions between players and the officials centered around the practical modalities of the training camp though nothing has filtered out.
Five new staff have joined the Lions den, these are:Christophe Manouvrier-physical trainer, Alex WEIB-Scounting, Boris NOLZON and Christopher SCHMOFD-Video Analaysts , UWE Vetter- Kinetherapist.
Following the Lions’programme, there was a training session in the morning and individualised training in the evening.
Fifa has announced that the Lions would be subjected to doping tests and the names of doctors have been communicated to the team.
