Cotonsport of Garoua has suffered a setback in their bid to win the top flight continental championship, defeated during the 1/8 Champions League away leg 0-1 by Entente Setif of Algeria.

Cotonsport would have to surmount a heavy mountain if they are to defeat Setif and progress in the championship.

They would have to score three goals without conceded any to remain in the competition. The return leg would therefore be decisive for Cotonsport, the lone Cameroonian club still remaining in the championship as they would either quit the competition or qualify for the 1/4 finals.
