The women’s championship for local players kicks-off tomorrow in Maroua in the Far North region with 14 clubs from 10 last season.
The opener is between AS Kirikou et ASFF Diamaré. Ahead of the launch, club presidents received part of the subvention for female football from the President of the Normalization Committee, Prof. Joseph Owona, yesterday.
He was accompanied on the occasion by the Secretary General of Fecafoot Tombi A Roko Sidiki and Celine Eko President of the transitional Female Football Commission put in place by the Normalisation Committee.
Clubs from the Far North got FCFA 3.5million commensurate to the distance and the cost of transportation to match venues while those form the Centre region had FCFA 2.5million.
