Yong Sport Academy of Bamenda, Yosa in their late match played on Thursday February 20, defeated Union of Douala 1-0 to register their first win thanks to a lone goal from Ghislain Mogou.

Enow Ngatchu on the occasion said, “Union played better, we knew it was going to be tough match, we worked hard during the training in relation to the weaknesses of our opponents and that God we scored and won the match”.

The club now counts four points after two matches, a draw in their first match. Following their engagement in the continental competition though short-lived, kicked out at the preliminary stage, Yosa entered the local championship later that some of the clubs.

Yosa was exempted from the first day of play following the burial of their founder, Francis Yong who died in December.

Meanwhile, Canon of Yaoundé and Coach Bertin Ebwelle also registered their first victory after defeating New Stars of Douala 2-1.
