Cameroon and other countries bidding to host the African Nations Cup would know their fate come September 2014.
Algeria, Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire, Guinea, Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Zambia submitted their bids to host the 2019 Nations Cup.Also, Algeria, Côte d’Ivoire, and Guinea submitted bids for the 2021 host.
A final vote to designate the host country is scheduled to takes place during CAF Executive meeting moved from May to September.
The timing of September is to enable the bidding countries adequate amount of time to receive the CAF inspection delegation.
Meanwhile, on the sidelines of the CAF Super Cup, billed on February 22nd 2014, a meeting would hold with the five presidents of African federations that qualified for the FIFA World Cup 2014 (Algeria, Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana, and Nigeria).
This is intended to give them all the possible support of CAF and call on all Africans to support the 5 representatives of the Continent.
