Lions4life has learnt that the Cameroon-Portugal friendly initially scheduled to take place in France at the Pierre-Mauroy stadium in Lille has been moved to Lieira Portugal.

The 24,000 capacity Dr. Magalhães Pessoa Stadium inaugurated on November 15, 2003 in Lieira is the new venue for the encounter.

The reason, a match by the French national team is scheduled on the same day, March 5 and French authorities would not wish that another match overshadows theirs.

For the authorities of Lieira this is a good thing for the population.

That is also a bad news for the Cameroonians but for me its OK if they play anywhere because the country should have had an international stadium of standard by now. well its just a friendly encounter by the way.
