The recent division witnessed in the mythic club of Yaoundé, Canon is an indication that the centre no longer hold and things are falling apart.
Two factions of canon now exist, one headed by Celine Eko, President of Administrative Board and the other by the Committee of Wise-men among them Ateba Yene, Augustin Edjoa.
With the two factions, drama ensued when two teams turned up on Monday to train at the Canon training ground at Nkol-Ewoue in Anguissa.
While Emmanuel Kunde is training the team of the Wise-men that took over the training ground on Monday as the Eko team jogged around.
The Eko camp that could not train considered they were chased away and now trains at Omnisport annex stadium.
Problems in this club came to the fore when Celine Eko on holiday in France was suspended by the committee of Wise-men.
The committee accuses Eko of chaotic management of finances and are ready to go to any length to sack her.
Eko on her part has said she was placed at the helm of Canon for three years and would only leave when her tenure expires. she said she paid all the allowances due to the players and staff.
Meanwhile, solicited by the committee to their general assembly, the President of the Normalisation Committee, Joseph Owona former member of the committee of the wise-men of Canon said he does not recognize the general assembly convened by the committee.
To him, this committee has not right to convene a general assembly and the quorum of 2/3 presence was not attained.
By making the statement, Owona thus gave Eko the advantage to continue the lead.
But, the problems in Canon surfaced when the club failed to win the Cup of Cameroon and accusing fingers pointed at some players and members for being the source of the defeat.
Division has become a normal diversion in Canon at the end of every football season as was the case last year.
