The Pantheres of Gabon have defeated on the Lions on penalty kicks to qualify for the African Nations Amateur Championship, CHAN billed for South Africa next year.

The match played at the Augustin Monedan Stadium in Sibang,Gabon saw the Pantheres score their goal in the second half through Samson Mbingui after a goalless first half.

The match ended with both teams having won each other at home 1-0. Against this backdrop, the teams had to go for penalty kick.

Following the CHAN regulation there was no prolongation and the teams went in for penalty kicks.
The first and second set of players and goalkeepers all played their penalties which ended in a draw until the last Pantheres scored the winning goal.

If the A Lions fail to beat the DR Congo in the classification match they are out of the CHAN competition. It should be noted that Emmanuel Ndoumbe Bosso and his squad went to the match without key players from Cotonsport engaged in the Championship.
