Against the will of Gabon’s football federation, the Confederation of African Football, CAF, decided to reschedule the first leg of the last qualifying round of CHAN 2014, between the Intermediate Indomitable Lions of Cameroon and the Panthers of Gabon.

Originally scheduled for Saturday, July 6, 2013 at the Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium in Yaounde, the qualifier between Cameroon and Gabon did not take place due to the temporary suspension of the Cameroon Football Federation, FECAFOOT, by FIFA on the grounds that government  was interfering in the affairs of Fécafoot.

Last Friday, less than two weeks after the first missed appointment, CAF wrote to inform the Gabonese Football Federation of a reprogrammed trip to Cameroon. It is stated that the first leg will be held in Yaoundé on a date to be decided by Fecafoot between Friday 26 and Sunday, July 28, 2013 and the return leg in Libreville two weeks later, precisely between Friday 09 and Sunday, August 11, 2013.
