Indomitable Lions goalkeeper, Idriss Carlos Kameni who plays for Malaga in Spain, is organizing a goalkeeper’s day in Yaoundé next week, June 18.
The day is meant to be avenue of sharing and donations besides honouring goalkeepers of Elite One and Two football clubs.
Renowned goalkeeper, former lion, Thomas Nkono would share goalkeeping knowledge and wealth of experience with the goalkeepers who are still in their early career, Frank Ambassa, in charge of the organization of the event has said.
Two goalkeepers each have been invites from the clubs with two goalkeeper trainers to come for the training with their working material.
Taking place at the Fecafoot Technical Centre in Odza, the training is part of kameni’s initiative dubbed, “Idriss Carlos Kameni 2013 Charity Tour”.
Other activities in line with the tour include a charity day at Biyemassi in the honour of a football association dubbed “the 2-0 Fraternity 2-0” headed by Laurent Satché.
In the programme, is also a donation of equipment to the University of Yaoundé 1 to be presided at by the Rector of that Institution.
The tour ends with the inauguration of a football playground whose rehabilitation was financed by Kameni.
