The President of the Cameroon Football Federation, Fecafoot, Iya Mohammed concerted with the Prime Minister, Philemon Yang, prior to his departure to the 63rd Fifa Congress in the Mauritius Island.
The federation president was already at the Douala International Airport, when the PM summoned him to the Star Building.
While Iya returned to Yaoundé to answer the PM’s summons, there were reports that he was stopped at the airport.
Though nothing filtered from the meeting, speculations are rife that the PM could be afriad Iya was going to present a bad image of government intruding into the federation’s affairs.
The PM, many speculate told Iya to present Cameroon in a good light to the world football governing body.
The meeting with the PM, the second withing four days, comes in the wake of events over the week-end where the PM suspended the Fecafoot elections.
