A seven man delegation was in France on May 9, for the Paris audition and auditioned four candidates for post of Indomitable Lions Coach.

The four auditioned are, Domenech Raymond, Volke Finke, Lechantre Pierre and Kombouaré Antoine.

Sven Goran Eriksson was on the list of those to be interviewed, but, finally was not interviewed as he could not leave Dubai where he is currently coaching for Paris.

But, who of the four would be the lucky coach, only time will tell. However, speculations are rife that Frenchman, Raymond Domenech may be the man for the job.

It should be noted that at a point there has been some manipulation of information in which the Fecafoot President, Iya Mohammed said Raymond Domenech had withdrawn his candidature.

The information was later debunked by Raymond Domenech who was auditioned with four others.

The delegation to audition coaches was made up of a representative of the Ministry of Sports, Oumarou Tado, two representatives of Fecafoot, Tombi A Roko Sidiki and Alim Konate (Iya representative) Iya unable to leave the country given that his passport was seized. There were two from the Fecafoot Technical Centre, Jean Manga onguene, Etienne Sonckeng, a representative of the Ministry of Finance, Marcel Zang, a representative of the Prime Minister, Harouna Hassan.

They were lodged at Hotel Pullman in Paris.

Pierre Herve Nouma Atanaga, Analyst/International Consultant In Sports Management, who doubles as Fifa agent  argues that of the shortlisted and auditioned candidates, none is as qualified  his candidate, Tom Saintfiet who was not been shortlisted.

Former Belgium Coach, Tom Saintfiet Juliana Maria has coached Yemen, Namibia, Ethiopia, Technical Director of Nigeria and Qatar U-17.

The agent still nursing the hope of placing his candidate says his Saintfiet is presently in Amsterdam, free of all contracts and available to be employed as Cameroon Coach.

He is of the opinion that the delegation returned on May 11 without a name because all the candidates posed conditions which the delegation was not ready to accept.

However, speculations are rife that the new coach is on the line and would observe Coach Jean Paul Akono for some time before taking over the team.
