Lions4life has learnt that three coaches are in the process of being auditioned.
“A delegation led by the Fecafoot Secretary General, Tombi A Roko Sidiki is in Paris to audition Raymond Domenech and Volker Finke, and Sven Goran Eriksson”.
“Sven Goran Eriksson was replaced Kamboure considered to lack international experience” was replaced in the shortlist, Footafrica365.fr quotes a source at the Fecafoot Technical Department.
“The ad-hoc commission first weighed replacing Kambouare with Pierre Lechantre who left good results but was dropped for reasons not to be disclosed”.
With this new development, the process of replacing Jean Paul Akono is apparently on.
Last week Akono had a working session with the Director of Professional Football Oumarou Tado and was told to go ahead with his work.
This has been interpreted to mean the process was halted.
“This issue of recruiting a new coach is making a lot of dust and also interference and if Sports Minister is not stopped along the way, there are indications that a new coach would be named latest May 9”.
Meanwhile, Akono is preparing for the friendly against Ukraine on June 2 and the 2014 World Cup qualifier match against Togo on June 9 and against Congo on June 16. Akono intends to publish the list of players called up for the matches on May 19.
However, a meeting for an amicable separation with Akono and his assistant has been announced for the days ahead.
