The strike announced by the Association of President of Professional Football Clubs, ACEC started this week-end putting to a halt the professional championship.
No match was played across the country for the tenth day of play of Elite One and ninth day for Elite Two. ACEC has demanded that the President of the Professional Football League, Pierre Semengue resigns.
They also are asking for the payment of the totality of the FCFA 560 million subventions to the clubs before they resume play.
Clubs presidents have also demanded the payment of the special subvention from the Head of State and the refund of money for the registration of clubs for the Super Cup.
They also call for the respect of the resolutions of the General Assembly on February 2013.
Semengue in a communique acknowledged the decision of club presidents to go on strike, and also says the procedure for the subvention to be disbursed is underway and that the league is no way responsible.
He equally warned that when the money would be available, only clubs that transformed into Public Liability Companies would be paid.
He has also said he would not resign and would leave when his tenure comes to an end in June.
