Cameroon striker Samuel Eto’o Fils has called on Cameroonians to come out and support the team to victory and qualification.
Samuel Eto’o fils and his teammates are training for the crucial African Nations Cup qualifier against Cape Verde on Sunday in Yaoundé.
He gave out a communiqué to the press this morning apologizing he could not be part of the press conference.
“To attain the objective of qualification, we imperatively wish to see a full stadium as a sign of solidarity and confidence”, writes Eto’o.
Cameroon went down 2-0 during the away leg to the advantage of the Blue Sharks of Cape Verde, and would want to turn the tides.
“Certainly, we are going to this match with a considerable disadvantage, but everything is possible in football”.
Beside, the challenge Eto’o Fils says “the most important thing is to construct the team for the future of our football through professionalization at all levels to regain our place in world football and to surpass the kind of situation in which we find ourselves today”.
The four times African Footballer of the Year says, “no matter the outcome of the match, we build confidence to turn a new leave”.
The coach Jean Paul Akono, after a week of training says his squad is gearing up for the match.
The players were treated to advice and experience sharing from former players, Milla Roger, Abega Theophile, Emmmanuel Kunde, Victor Ndip Akem, Libih Thomas and Joseph Antoine Bell, yesterday.
