Following the draws of the last round of the Nations Cup qualifiers that took place in South Africa, July 5, Cameroon would meet Cape Verde.

Cameroon was absent from the 2012  Nations Cup hosted by Gabon and Equatorial Guinea and should be careful  not to face the fate in the hands of outsiders, Cape Verde.

Though Cameroon presently occupies  59 th position in Fifa ranking and Cape Verde 70th, they may spring a surprise like the Central African Republic that eliminated Egypt seven time African Champion with a 4-3 aggregate win.

The striking thing about the draws is that two West African neighbours, Senegal have been paired with Ivory Coast and this means one of them would not be part of the Nations Cup in South Africa in 2013.

The away matches would be played on September 7,8 and 9 while the return is billed for October 12, 13 and 14.
The parings are as follows:

Mali v Botswana

Zimbabwe v Angola

Ghana v Malawi

Liberia v Nigeria

Zambia v Uganda

Cape Verde Islands v Cameroon

Mozambique v Morocco

Sierra Leone v Tunisia

Guinea v Niger

Sudan v Ethiopia

Libya v Algeria

Ivory Coast v Senegal

DR Congo v Equatorial Guinea

Gabon v Togo

Central African Republic v Burkina Faso
