England Premier League side, Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed that Cameroon international, Clinton Njie has agreed to join French division one side Olympic of Marseille on a permanent deal.
Tweeted in their official side, Tottenham said, they have reach an agreement for aa permanent transfer of Clinton Njie.
“We have reached agreement with @OM_Officiel for the permanent transfer of Clinton Njie,” Tottenham tweeted. The English club added, “We wish Clinton all the best for the future.”
The 23-year-old Cameroon forward joined Tottenham in 2015 on a five-year contract from Lyon for a fee of 12 million euros.
His stay at Spurs was also hindered by a medial collateral ligament injury sustained in a Europa League clash against Monaco in December 2015, which ruled him out for five months.
The Cameroon forward did not start a single Premier League game for Spurs. He made eight substitution appearances after arriving from Lyon in a deal reportedly worth more than £8 million.
After returning to Olympic of Marseille in France last season on loan, he scored four times in 22 outings.
